Joseph sullivan

President & founder

As President and Founder of Harbour Environmental Group, Joseph is responsible for the strategic direction of the company. Joseph first started the company with the current Calgary facility in the Shepard Industrial Park in July 2017, and the technology, process and organization has evolved considerably since.

A graduate of Queens University, Joseph has over 20 years experience in Oil and Gas and Environmental service industries including hydro-vac operation, fleet management, and waste management. From this experience, the opportunity and passion for a better hydrovac waste treatment process was instilled.

Joseph is a passionate visionary, providing the driving force for growth of the organizational vision and believes in developing and empowering every team member.

Dustin starkey

vice-president, operations

Dustin Starkey joined Harbour Environmental Group as a manager of the Calgary facility in November 2017. He was quickly promoted to the role of Operations Manager, overlooking both Edmonton and Calgary facilities, and subsequently overtook the position of Vice-President of Operations in December 2018. As Vice-President Operations, Dustin overlooks the day-to-day delivery of all operations and services, as well as initiation and deployment of strategic initiatives and projects.

Prior to joining Harbour Environmental, Dustin enjoyed over five successful years in sales roles and more recently five years in oil and gas well servicing and drilling within Canada and Australia. This unique blend of field operations and customer relationship management experience allows Dustin to provide our partners with the high level of service they deserve.

Dustin is constantly working towards personal and professional development. Most recently completing a Power Engineering Certification, helping facilitate a number of process improvement initiatives at our facilities.

sean yaehne

vice-prEsident, business strategy development

Sean Yaehne joined Harbour Environmental Group in May 2019 as Vice-President of Business Strategy Development. In this position, Sean uses data to drive strategy development, evaluation and deployment in all departments including operations, business development, administration, technology and finance.

Since completing a Bachelor of Science degree, specializing in Earth Sciences, in 2008, Sean has worked in various fields including: environmental consultation, government regulation, metallurgic mining and oil gas industries in Canada and Australia. In 2016, he completed a MBA at Sauder School of Business at UBC.

Most recently, Sean managed an IT team as well as all process improvement initiatives, project management and the overall technology strategy for Steve Nash Fitness World & Sports Clubs with over 25 locations, 100,000 members and 1,000 employees.
